#HairCare #Diy #Haircutting #HairTrim Hair color changes over time, care for hair in ones 40s with Diy cuts. This... - ☽ ✧ - Δ - ✧ ☾ - is just a very simple post on how I cut my hair and about its color, history and the changes if it now in my 40s. Plus a few little tricks I use. From Chapter 'haircare' My hair history and changes At birth my hair was dark Auburn and my eyes dark blue, but by the time I was a toddler it was like carrot red (Ginger) AS I grew it darkened to Dark Auburn and even my eyes changed to green with 2 yellow gold flecks in one eye. The funny thing is my little brother went through exactly the same changes albeit his eye color was and stayed rusty orange. In my late teens I started to have white hairs due in large to the stress and workload I believe but not enough to be really noticeable. However I did start to have fun coloring my hair or bleaching it at the time, which is large part due to doing an apprenticeship in hairdressing (Albeit I only did the 1st year and not all 4 years - just wasn’t for me) So throughout my life I can really say I have been colored blonde, brunette and red but not really left as ginger. After my road attack in 2012 I decided to let my auburn show through and even wash out some natural pigments with hydrogen for 15 minutes or lemon juice on the roots only/crown in the sun. The auburn to ginger seen here is from such which I do once am month or every two months. That said the ends were extremely light this year from the sun, which was doing my head in a bit. It was like having many shades of one color in my hair lol. But I’m going to have a bit of fun with my hair though and color it with treatment vegan colors that wash out and fade. Hair cuts I think the last time someone cut my hair was in 2016. I had finally removed the walking crutches after 15 months and was able to sit on a normal chair again after 3 years of being unable to. I was so annoyed' the hairdresser had spliced my hair badly at mid length. For someone who never had split ends, I did swear thereafter no one would touch my hair again. It took a year to grow out with cuts I did myself once a month, taking off 2 to 3 inches. My hair does grow super fast, there’s allot of it and I’m fully vegan. I have been full vegan since 2013 whereas I started as vegetarian in 2012. I don’t really take supplements bar vitamin K2 & vitamin c. I prefer to get all my nutrients from actual foods, not pills and shakes. I did find the vegan diet made my hair silkier and my roots produced less oil which was an awesome bonus. I like to cut my hair on the night of a full moon and then I bury my ends to the earth in part ritual to mother Freya. As for length it touches the top of my butt and I do recommend braiding it to sleep. Braiding long hair stops one waking up to a birds nest :) especially with mine for it has waves at mid-length. There’s 2 ways I like to cut my hair and I alternate which way I use from month to month. Version One;
