Bright candy colored peony flowered wreath with skulls from an old shopping haul and adorned at Samhuinn 2019 in... the southern hemisphere. Coupled with pink eye shadow from a mermaid vegan palette and a matte orange lip, it suited my dark deep sea mood on this winter's weekend. The semi green hair reminded me of being cloaked in trendills of seaweed from the deep and helped in connecting to the darkness of waters witch crafting I practiced. In honour of my Morrigan, the undines, selkies, kelpies and creatures of the deep, I reveried in the ancestral connection. The beginning of winter is actually in Samhuinn in Celtic folklore and tradition, which also marks New years eve and the beginning of both the new year and winter. In the the southern hemisphere, Samhuinn begins May 31st and in the northern hemisphere it begins on the 31st of October.
